Commissioner Robert W. Orchowski presented Upper St. Clair High School senior track and field athlete Dani Prunzik with a Certificate of Achievement on July 3, 2023, for winning the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash at the 2023 Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) Class AAA Girls’ Track and Field Championships.

This is the third-straight year she won the gold medal at the WPIAL Championships in the 100-meter dash. She was also on the team that placed second in the 4x100 relay.

“Congratulations on winning the 100-meter dash at the WPIAL Championships for the third year in a row, along with your win in the 200-meter dash," said Commissioner Orchowski. "Your commitment to both individual and team excellence is admirable, and you are extremely talented. You put your work in, there’s no doubt about it.”

In the 2023 Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Class AAA Girls’ Track and Field Championships, she placed fourth in the 100-meter dash and sixth in the 200-meter dash.

Prunzik’s winning times of 11.70 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 24.53 seconds in the 200-meter dash are both Upper St. Clair girls’ track and field records.
