Trash Collection
Each Upper St. Clair household is issued one 95-gallon wheeled cart (black lid) for weekly refuse collection. All trash must be included in the container. Trash outside of the container will not be collected. If desired, an additional container may be purchased through Waste Management for an additional fee ($110 for 2024) by calling 1-800-866-4460.

Trash and recycling may be placed out the night before after 6 p.m. (5 p.m. winter months). Remove empty containers no later than midnight on the day of collection.
  • Only one Township-issued trash cart is included in the regular service. Waste Management will, however, collect one additional Waste Management stamped trash cart that was purchased before Jan. 1, 2024, for no extra fee. Additional trash carts purchased after Jan. 1, 2024,
will be subject to the annually adjusted fee ($110 for 2024). To purchase an extra trash cart from WM, call 1.800.866.4460.

Bulk items include, but are not limited to, mattresses, chairs, bicycles and other items too large to fit into your regular cart. See the calendar on page 5 of the 2024 brochure for exact dates.
  • Empty or dried cans of paint with lids removed are accepted in trash.
  • A special collection may be scheduled with Waste Management at 1-800-866-4460 for excessive amounts of trash. Fees apply.
  • The contractor is not responsible for the collection of any item outlined on this site that is not properly prepared.
  • The contractor is not responsible for the cleanup of trash, recycling or yard waste/leaf material disturbed or scattered by weather, animals or other causes.
