Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 23
- Citizen of United States
- Bachelor's degree
- Completion of Act 120 training
- Physically fit for police duty
- Good moral character
- Valid license to operate motor vehicle in Pennsylvania
- Residency in Upper St. Clair is NOT a requirement
- Supply a credit check report with application
- 2022 starting base salary: $68,016
- 2022 base salary for top-level patrolman: $104,041

- Job-related physical ability test
- Written test (subject to successful physical ability test)

- Background investigation

Upper St. Clair is participating in the SHACOG (South Hills Area Council of Governments) Joint Police Test. Applications to take the test for the position of entry level police officer are being accepted until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the offices of the SHACOG, 2600 Old Greentree Road, Carnegie, PA 15106. Testing will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
