Township Commissioners Honor Upper St. Clair Eagle Scouts
The Board of Commissioners presented two proclamations recognizing the attainment of the Eagle Scout rank by Cavan Gable and Jack Miller, of Boy Scout Troop 4. Commissioner Ronald J. Pardini presented the proclamations.
Cavan’s Eagle Scout project involved constructing two garden benches, six seating benches, two end tables, and three saddle racks for Horses with Hope at Gilfillan Farm. As a senior at Upper St. Clair High School, Cavan is a High School Stadium Scoreboard Operator and participates in the Smart Desk program which addresses technology issues among the staff and students at the high school.
Jack’s Eagle Scout project involved constructing three new benches for St. Thomas More Church and removing some of their existing benches. Jack is a senior at Upper St. Clair High School and competes on the Speech and Debate team. He has earned many awards of distinction and was the Parliamentary Debate Captain and Secretary of the Speech and Debate Team.
Both Cavan and Jack have demonstrated leadership and citizenship through their activities and notable achievements, both in and out of scouting.
