Pennsylvania American Water to Replace Multiple Water Mains in Upper St. Clair

Pennsylvania American Water Company plans six water main replacement projects in Upper St. Clair this winter. The company will replace:
  • 3,900 feet of aging water main along all or portions of Comanche, Lamar, Cherokee and Ivanhoe Roads;
  • 3,000 feet of aging water main along Cramden Road, between Weston and Wiltshire Drives;
  • 1,300 feet of aging water main along Hathaway Lane, between Mill Grove Road and Hathaway Lane;
  • 1,300 feet of aging water main along Lamson Circle, between Old Meadow Road and Billings Drive;
  • 1,000 feet of aging water main along McMillan Road, between Painters Run Road and Watterson Court;
  • and 340 feet of aging water main along Ashwood Circle, from Greystone Drive to the cul-de-sac.
The work will begin this winter and be completed this spring. Work hours will be Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Casper Colosimo & Son will perform the work. While they interconnect the new main to the distribution system, customers may experience a temporary water service interruption. Customers may also experience a slight discoloration of water. If this happens, run the water until it is clear.

Pennsylvania American Water officials say the pipeline projects will help improve water quality, service reliability and increase flows for household use and firefighting. For questions, call the water company at 1-800-565-7292 Monday-Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
