Our Township rental spaces are the perfect spot to host your next family celebration or business event! 

Code of Conduct
The Township of Upper St. Clair Department of Recreation & Leisure Services strives to create an atmosphere of respect and courtesy. Appropriate social behavior and treatment of others is expected of all employees, patrons, and guests/participants. Physical, mental, verbal, or emotional abuse will not be accepted nor tolerated by anyone participating in any activity, program, or party.

The renter is expected to become knowledgeable, understanding, and supportive of all established guidelines, rules, policies, and procedures applicable to the related activity. It is the renter's responsibility to supervise their guests to follow all department and party rules. This includes:
          *Respecting scheduled time for set up, guest arrival, guest departure, and clean up
          *Following all instructions from department staff
          *For pool parties: Children not yet 48-inches tall are required to wear a USCG-approved lifejacket and be within arm's reach of a supervising adult.
Failure to abide by this code of conduct and the rental permit will result in the forfeit of rental deposit and/or immediate termination of your rental.

Pool Parties at the c&RC

January 2024 pool parties are now booking! Inquire here
February 2024 pool party dates are now available to book for Upper St. Clair Residents or Members of the C&RC. Remaining dates open to surrounding communities on November 15th,  2023.
  • Party pricing is for a 2-hour rental and includes 20 total children. An additional fee of $15.00 per child will be charged the day of event if party exceeds the total. There is no fee for adults accompanying the party guests.
  • Aquatic Rooms have seating for 25 and a maximum capacity of 30 including adults. Please do not go above 23 children per room. (Note and float policy can also impact the number of children that can attend)
  • Both Aquatic Party Rooms have direct access to the Indoor Aquatic Leisure Pool.
  • Pool parties are for the indoor pool only. No access to outdoor pool, lap pool, hot tub, gymnasium or fitness areas.
  • Full rental fee amount, plus the $100 security deposit, is due at contract signing. Payment may be made via cash, check, debit,  or credit card.
  • All Aquatic pool party rentals will be required to abide by the C&RC Note & Float policy.

Gym Parties at the C&RC
Gym Party Celebration
  • Gym parties for children ages 4 to 7 include 60 minutes in the Gym or a Community Room with a Party Leader and an assistant, followed by 60 minutes of celebration time led by the host family in a Community Room.
  • Activities may include warmup exercises, obstacle course, games and activities, parachute play, and cool down stretches.
  • For older children, 60 minutes of court time (half of a court), monitored by the party host, is available. Participants can shoot hoops or organize their own games within our policies. 
  • Full rental fee amount, plus the $100 security deposit, is due at contract signing. Payment may be made via cash, check, debit,  or credit card.
  • Parties are offered on Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons only.

Playroom Parties at the C&RC
Playroom Party Celebration
  • A Playroom Party is designed for a small group of toddler or preschool aged children (Up to eight, including the birthday child). (Two parents must be present in the playroom during activities with our party leader.)
  • This two-hour party includes 60 minutes of crafts, reading, and playtime followed by 60 minutes of celebration time led by the host family in a Community Room.
  • Full rental fee amount, plus the $100 security deposit, is due at contract signing. Payment may be made via cash, check, debit,  or credit card.

Community Room Rental
Community Room Rental
  • Your options are unlimited for business meetings, birthday celebrations, bridal or baby showers and family gatherings.
  • Each room seats up to 40 individuals for a social event and 25 individuals for a classroom event. Rooms may be combined to create a larger rental space.
  • Audio-visual resources available upon request and our pantry is available for a $15 flat fee. No alcohol is permitted.
  • Pricing is per hour for the event time only; one hour for set-up and 30 minutes for clean-up is then included with rental at no extra fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a security deposit required?
  • Yes, a refundable security deposit of $100 per room is required along with the full rental fee at contact signing.
Do I have access to other parts of the facility after my event or party?
  • No, the rental includes only the spaces expressly booked in the rental contract. No access to other facility amenities are available to party guests.
May I have food at my party?
  • Yes, food and drinks are permitted in all room rentals. We ask that all parties do not bring their food/drink into the pool area. No alcohol is permitted on the premises.
What is provided with my rental?
  • All rentals include a Party Greeter, access to the requested rooms as well as any amenities specified in the contract. All paper products, food, serving utensils, etc. shall be provided by the renter.
May I arrive early to set-up my party?
  • Yes: The renter is allotted 30 minutes for set-up and 15 minutes for tear-down on the day of the party. The party greeter will monitor the time.

Rental Opportunities at the McLaughlin Activity Center (Open to Upper St. Clair Residents ONLY)
Reservations for 2024 rentals open at 8am on Monday, October 2nd at 8 a.m. in person at The Community & Recreation Center. 
Our newly renovated McLaughlin Activity Center is the perfect spot to host a graduation, family gathering, or business meeting. 

McLaughlin Run Activity Center

Facilities include:
  • Kitchen
  • Bathroom facilities (ADA Accessible) 
  • Sand volleyball court
  • Covered pavilion with picnic tables which overlooks McLaughlin Run Creek
  • Fire circle that may be used for extra $10
The McLaughlin Run Road Activity Center (MAC) is located at 1770 McLaughlin Run Road.

Outdoor Fun at The Boyce Mayview Pavilion (Located next to Learning Lab and Softball Field Side)
Boyce Mayview Pavilion FINAL
The Boyce Mayview Pavilion is the perfect space to host your next outdoor event! 
Facilities include:
  • Access to the pavilion for the entire day 
  • Electricity and water readily available 
  • Newly installed restrooms
  • Ample parking

Important Rental Reminders
Please contact Tara Fox at 412.221.1099 ext. 6560 at the Recreation & Leisure Services for usage requests, fees, and availability of the McLaughlin Run Activity Center (MAC) or the Boyce Mayview Pavilion.  Please contact Amy Kerman at 412.221.1099 ext. 6130 for usage requests, fees, and availability of rentals held at the Community & Recreation Center at Boyce Mayview Park. A permit will be mailed within two weeks of rental confirmation.

  • Reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis.
  • Full payment is due at the time your rental is confirmed. 
  • Security Deposit checks will be mailed within 2 weeks after party - if there are no damages to the room.
  • Alcohol is NOT permitted.
