In accordance with the Township's Home Rule Charter, the Annual Budget for the upcoming fiscal year is prepared each fall by the Township Manager and submitted to the Board of Commissioners for review. The annual budget covers a one-year period running January 1st through December 31st.
A summary of the Township Manager's Proposed Annual Budget, along with a notice for a public hearing, is advertised at least two weeks before the Proposed Budget is presented at the regularly scheduled Commissioners' meeting in November. During this period, the Budget and Finance Committee also reviews the Proposed Budget at an advertised public meeting. The Commissioners vote on the new budget at their regular meeting in December which is typically the first Monday of the month.
