Citizens Fire Academy
Each September, the department hosts its annual, six-week Citizens Fire Academy, a program engineered to strengthen community relations through targeted public education and immersive, hands-on experience. While this community-facing initiative is strictly non-vocational and does not certify professional firefighters, it successfully cultivates informed civic advocates and serves as an introductory pipeline for potential volunteer recruits.Check back for more information about the program in September 2027.
