The Board of Commissioners recognized the tenth anniversary of The Miracle League of the South Hills, located in Boyce Mayview Park, by presenting a proclamation to its Board President, Sean Casey. Commissioner Daniel R. Paoly presented the proclamation. 

The Miracle League of the South Hills, where "Every Child Deserves a Chance to Play Baseball" allows and promotes all people with disabilities to have opportunities to enhance their lives as athletes, teammates, and in everyday life with baseball as the root, promoting meaningful, authentic relationships that connect people on the field as well as in the community.

Mr. Casey expressed his appreciation to the Board, the Township and the community for their support which has allowed continued growth of The Miracle League of the South Hills that now includes 350 participants, a travel team that has played in various locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New Jersey, and the Clubhouse Playground, a one-of-a-kind playground specifically designed for children of all abilities to interact and play.
