Upper St. Clair Firefighters Recognized For Years Of Service
The Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners presented three Upper St. Clair volunteer firefighters with Certificates of Appreciation for their many years of service. The following firefighters received certificates:
- Dave Ickes, 30 years
- Josh O’ Connor, 15 years
- Gary Salerno, 15 years
Accepting a proclamation from Commissioner Todd Burlingame are USC VFD secretary Russ Rauch (center) and deputy chief Josh O’Connor.
The Upper St. Clair volunteer firefighters are unpaid volunteers who serve the community 24/7, 365 days a year. Residents may consider donating to the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department by visiting the department's website for more information.
The Board of Commissioners also issued an official proclamation marking October 9-15, 2022 as Fire Prevention Week in Upper St. Clair. This year's theme is "Fire Won’t Wait. Plan Your Escape™" and serves to remind residents it is important to have a home fire escape plan.
