On Friday, July 15^th, The Township of Upper St. Clair Department of Recreation & Leisure Services was spotlighted by the Pennsylvania Recreation & Park Society (PRPS) during the 2022 Park & Recreation Professionals Day, a national celebration honoring essential industry professionals across the country, who make communities better places to live, work and play. 

When asked to reflect on this recognition, The Department of Recreation & Leisure Services shared that “any and all of our success is because of people, from the staff to the instructors, the members to the participants, it’s the people, they make the difference, they are essential, they make the Township great!”

Throughout the day, the Department of Recreation & Leisure Services offered public tours that highlighted the indoor/outdoor pools, Camp St. Clair, guest relations and the staff at the Community & Recreation Center. 



The Department displayed a highlight wall of 2022 programming efforts that enriched the community.

In conclusion of the day, Dan Hendy, Education Manager of the PRPS, presented the Township with a Proclamation Certificate spotlighting the Department of Recreation & Leisure Services.
