Upper St. Clair Honors Two High School Swimmers

Commissioner Todd D. Burlingame presented two Upper St. Clair High School swimmers with Certificates of Achievement on Monday night at the Board of Commissioners meeting. 

He first congratulated Kaitlyn Connors for capturing first place at the 2022 Swimming Class AAA Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) Championship in the girls' 100-yard freestyle, for placing second in the 200-yard freestyle, and for assisting her team in capturing second in the 200-yard freestyle relay and fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Miss Connors also placed sixth at the 2022 Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Class AAA Championship in the Girls' 200-yard freestyle, seventh in the 100-yard freestyle, and assisted her team in placing 14th in the 200-yard freestyle relay. 

Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan was also recognized. He captured first place at the 2022 Swimming Class AAA Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) Championship in the boys' 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard butterfly, and he assisted his team in capturing second place in the 200-yard freestyle relay and fourth place in the 400-yard freestyle relay. At the 2022 Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Class AAA Championship, Mr. Sivaramakrishnan captured second in the boys' 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly, and assisted his team in capturing third place in the 200-yard medley relay and fourth place in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
