Upper St. Clair to Take Part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Drug Take Back Day April 30, 2022
Upper St. Clair Police Department will take part in the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the rear of the Municipal Building, 1820 McLaughlin Run Rd. The bi-annual event offers free, anonymous disposal of unneeded medications.

According to a report published by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, a majority of people who misused a prescription medication obtained the medicine from a family member or friend. "Disposing of unneeded medications can help prevent drugs from being misused," said DEA Administrator Ann Milgram.

Liquids, syringes and illicit drugs will not be accepted at the event. For questions, call the Upper St. Clair Police Department's non-emergency line at 412-833-1113.
