Public Works Employee Marks 50 Years With Upper St. Clair
Gary said he was hired by the Township on Jan. 3, 1972 after serving in the Army during the Vietnam War. His starting wage was $2.75/hour.
"Times have changed," chuckled Gary.
Gary said the staff treats him well. He's performed every task in the Public Works Department, and currently runs the street sweeper, maintains Township green space and loads the trucks.
