Jordan Tax Service Sewage Bill Delivery Behind

The Township of Upper St. Clair staff is aware that many residents are concerned about the delayed receipt of December sewage bills which have payment due in January. Mail processing and delivery by the United States Postal Service (USPS) has been significantly delayed across the country. Upper St. Clair has also been impacted, resulting in delayed delivery of sewage bills and other items.

Jordan Tax Service (JTS) processed all December bills on a normal schedule, but those who choose to have their monthly bill delivered through the USPS received the bill much later than usual. Sewage customers who are registered for eBilling received their bill on time.

To avoid reliance upon the USPS in the future, property owners are encouraged to register for the eBilling/autodraft service offered by JTS. This service allows you to receive your bill via email instead of postal mail, automatically debits your payment amount on time each month, and maintains a record of past bills and payments.

Due to the widespread nature of this issue, JTS will not assess late fees for sewer bills that have a due date in January 2021. However, property owners are reminded that they are ultimately responsible for timely payment of their tax and sewage bills. If you do not receive your bill on its normal schedule, you should call JTS to request your balance.
