Township Employee Retires After 45 Years of Service

After more than 45 years of working for the Township of Upper St. Clair, Russell Rauch is retiring.

Russ was hired on July 20, 1976 as a police emergency dispatcher. In 1991, he became the Township's technical service coordinator.

"All the chiefs you're worked with would agree with me on this, Russ is the nucleus of the police department, and really the nucleus of the Township. Russ, you will surely be missed," said Chief Jonathan Wharton, Upper St. Clair Police Department, during a retirement luncheon on Friday, Dec. 3, 2022.

Russ plans to continue volunteering with the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department, where he has been a member since 1976. Russ currently serves on the Board of Directors.

The Township thanks Russ for many years of dedicated service and hard work to keep our community safe.
