Three New Police Officers Sworn In

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, the Township of Upper St. Clair and Upper St. Clair Police Department welcomed three new police officers. Officers Connor McCaffrey, Isaac Ankrom and Nick Benincasa were officially sworn in by District Judge Ronald Arnoni. The swearing-in was attended by members of the USCPD, Township officials and the families of the officers.

McCaffrey comes to Upper St. Clair after serving with the Pittsburgh Police for five years. He attended Penn State University and has a bachelor’s degree in recreation, parks and tourism management with a specialization in golf management.

Ankrom joins the USCPD after spending over four years as an officer with the Virginia Beach Police Department. Isaac attended Slippery Rock University and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Benincasa is an Ohio University graduate and has a bachelor’s degree in global studies war and peace, and political science. Nick joins the USCPD from the police academy, where he just recently graduated.

The Township is thrilled to welcome Officers McCaffrey, Ankrom and Benincasa and wishes all three safe and successful careers.
