The Youth Steering Committee of Upper St. Clair will offer a virtual program for parents – Parenting for Humans: Navigating Emotionally Tense Conversations with Your Child – beginning 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Serving as presenter is psychologist Dr. Eran Magen, founder of Parenting for Humans. With a master's degree in education and a Ph.D. in psychology from Stanford University, Dr. Magen considers it his life's mission to help people have better relationships. He has worked as a consultant for some of the largest school districts in the country, and comes highly recommended by the Pennsylvania Principals Association. He is passionate about mental health in our youth, and is founder and CEO of a wellness monitoring/suicide prevention service called Early Alert.

The Youth Steering Committee is a community action group, jointly appointed by the Township Board of Commissioners and Board of School Directors. The committee is comprised of adult residents, student representatives and liaisons from the appointing boards. Its mission is to involve the Upper St. Clair community in providing positive direction and support to the community’s youth and their families.
