When do I have to license my dog?
There are two licenses required for dogs: Allegheny County and Upper St. Clair.

What parks in the Township allow dogs?
Dogs, excluding service animals, are ONLY permitted at Boyce Mayview Park (see link below for a map), but only in designated areas, and they must be on a leash at all times. Boyce Mayview Park is the ONLY Township owned park that allows pets.

What do I do if a dog bites me?
If a dog bites you and the wound is serious, call 412-833-7500 or 911 immediately. Dispatchers will send appropriate responders. If the bite is not serious, call 412-833-7500 and either Animal Control or Police will respond to take a “Bite” report. The officers will ensure the offending dog is licensed properly and has current vaccinations. They will also issue a quarantine notice to the dog owner to ensure the animal is controlled and monitored for infectious diseases.
What do I do if my dog or cat runs away?
Call 412-833-7500 to report your missing pet. The dispatcher will take the animal's description and enter it into a missing animal log. If your animal is located, an Animal Control Officer or dispatcher will contact you.
Please DO NOT post missing animal flyers in Upper St. Clair, as this is a violation of the Township Code, and you will be cited and asked to remove the signs.
