The Township employs both full-time and part-time employees as well as Administrative Interns and other contractual professionals. Openings are generally announced through advertisements in local newspapers, professional journals and/or on various websites, as well as on the Township's website.

Upon the announcement of a full-time employment opening, an applicant's Resume and Application needs to be submitted as directed in the job posting. 

Resumes and completed applications for college internships, and part-time work may be submitted at any time throughout the year. However, positions for Public Works and Recreation Department Summer Positions should be made on or before May 23 of each year. LABORER-DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

The Township of Upper St. Clair is accepting applications for the position of Laborer.  Candidates must have a strong work ethic, experience in the multiple phases of township maintenance responsibilities, including but not limited to: Carpentry, masonry, brick, block and light plumbing; routine inspection and preventative maintenance on equipment; Park and athletic field maintenance; Landscaping; Operation of trucks and equipment of various sizes and weights; Heavy lifting; Sanitary sewer and storm sewer infrastructure repair; and snow removal.  Candidates must have a valid PA driver's license.  A commercial driver's license is preferred or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.  The ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods is a MUST.  This position works indoors and outdoors and is exposed to a variety of weather conditions.

BUILDING & POOL MAINTENANCE ATTENDANT

The Township of Upper St. Clair is accepting applications for a Building and Pool Maintenance Attendant for the Community & Recreation Center. Having a strong background in HVAC and electrical along with 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance, housekeeping, and aquatic maintenance is a MUST. You will be expected to respond to various facility (Building & Pool) needs and tasks. If not presently certified, a Certified Pool Operators Certificate is required within one (1) month of hire. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Rotating shifts; mornings & afternoons, plus week-end shifts and on-call emergency response are required.

Library Assistant 

The Upper St. Clair Township Library is looking for an energetic person who is warm and friendly and loves working with adults and children. 

In this customer service job you will help library customers, check in materials and shelve materials. Strong computer skills are a must. Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn are essential. 

We need a person who is highly energetic and loves being on the move. This job requires lots of physical stamina! 

Starting Schedule

Mondays 1-5 p.m., Wednesdays, 5-9 p.m. and 2-3 weekend days every month

Weekend days are Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 12:30 – 5 p.m. 

You will also be asked to work other weekdays and evenings as needed.

PLAYROOM ATTENDANT

PERSONAL TRAINER

    The Township of Upper St. Clair is seeking Personal Trainers and Barre Instructors for the Community & Recreation Center Fitness Department.  These positions are responsible for the creation and instruction of personal fitness training programs and Barre Sculpt classes for Community & Recreation Center customers & visitors.

    Requirements for Personal Trainers
    : 2+ years of personal training/instruction experience and related programming.  A nationally accredited training certification (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, ACE preferred) and current CPR/AED certification.  A degree in exercise science or wellness-related field is preferred but not required.

    Applicants for the above position must:
    •  Be available to work shifts and weekends
    •  Be customer service oriented
    •  Have a strong team attitude
    •  Possess exceptional communication skills
