The Department of Recreation and Leisure is responsible for recreation programming and activities for Township residents of all ages and for scheduling the use of Township facilities such as meeting rooms, the Recreation Center and ball fields.

The Recreation and Leisure Services Program Brochure is published several times each year

• at the end of March (Spring/Summer)
• the beginning of September (Fall/Winter).

Each program brochure describes the programs and activities for that season and includes registration information. New brochures are available online in PDF format as soon as they are published. The previous season's brochure is kept online as a sample of programs offered.

Parks and Facilities

The Township has over 500 acres of community and neighborhood parks and facilities.

These include: 14 parks, 16 tennis courts, a 3 hole golf course, five baseball fields, nine basketball courts, five soccer fields, a walking trail in Gilfillan Park, and various other recreational areas.
