Public Works
As part of the Township's ongoing safety program, we are reviewing all intersections and streets to identify vegetation that creates vehicular or pedestrian obstructions or sight distance problems.
Residents will be notified.
The Department of Public Works, located at 1751 McLaughlin Run Road across from the Township's 3-hole Golf Course, is responsible for the management and supervision of all activities relating to streets, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, trash collection, recycling, leaf waste collection, parks and facility maintenance, building and grounds maintenance and forestry.
In addition, the department is on call for any emergency such as sewer backups, storm debris on streets, flooding, landslides and snow and ice efforts including salting and plowing.
For Public Works emergencies call the Public Works Department at 412.831.9000, Mondays through Fridays 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; evenings and weekends call the Police Department. For non-emergency requests or complaints, call 412.831.9000 and press 2 to leave a message.

In addition, the Department is responsible for the implementation of snow and ice removal contracts and general road maintenance contracts with both PennDOT and the Upper St. Clair School District.
