Telephone Solicitations, Telemarketing and Junk Mail
The Police Department does not sponsor or benefit from telephone solicitation. Anyone who claims to be representing the Department is using that statement under false pretenses. Continued harassing calls should be reported to us.
To Avoid Telephone Calls From Telemarketers:
- You can register for the Pennsylvania Do Not Call list online at www.nocallsplease.com or by phoning 1-888-777-3406. Registration is free.
Pennsylvania's DO No Call Website has an informative FAQ section which covers both the Pennsylvania and Federal programs.
- You can register for the National No Call Registry online at www.donotcall.gov or by phoning 1-888-382-1222. Registration is free.

Telemarketers are required to maintain do-not-call lists. You can tell the telemarketer to place your name on that business' do-not-call list.

By sending signed letters to the addresses above, your name will be removed from solicited advertising lists only. The companies with which you now have a business relationship will continue to mail you their information.
