Eagle Scout Jacob Lowe Honored at May 6 Board of Commissioners Meeting

Jacob Lowe received recognition from the Board of Commissioners during the regular meeting on May 6 for achieving the Eagle Scout rank. Commissioner Ronald J. Pardini presented Lowe's proclamation, praising his leadership and citizenship both within and outside of scouting. Lowe's attainment of the Eagle Scout rank signifies the highest level of skill, service and leadership in Scouting. Lowe’s mother, Stephanie, along with several members of the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department, was there to congratulate him.

“You have my utmost respect,” said Pardini. “You have demonstrated great leadership, and on behalf of the Board of Commissioners and the Township, I commend and congratulate you.”

For his Eagle Scout project, Lowe dedicated 280 hours alongside 30 volunteers to improve Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. His project included various tasks such as installing an electric fireplace, laying a new carpet tile floor, refurbishing wood panel walls, enhancing brass fixtures in the church's Wesley Hall and installing a new luxury vinyl floor in the kitchen of Wesley Hall.

In addition to being a member of Scout Troop 4, Lowe, a homeschooled senior, attends Parkway West Career and Technology Center and is on its Directors List. He is also a 2024 SkillsUSA District Winner, firefighter with the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department, attends an annual mission trip and is a weekly usher at his church.
