Services for Teens
TeenSpace is located on the 3rd floor of the Library. There you'll find there a special collection of books, magazines, and audio books just for teens; armchairs and couches for quiet reading, and tables for group work space are also available.
We have eight Internet accessible computers which feature Windows 2007, and Microsoft 2007 applications such as Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
All of our teen books are categorized by genre, making it easier to find the book you are looking for.
Click on the genres to the right to find a list of books that you may be interested in! The Upper St. Clair Library does not necessarily recommend that all teens read all books. These books offer a balance in reading level, interest level and types of fiction. We encourage parents to read and discuss these books with their teens.
If you need help finding a book, need a recommendation for a good book, or have a homework problem, reference and readers' advisory services are provided by the Library staff.
Volunteer opportunities are available at the Library during the school year and summer months to tweens and teens in fifth grade and higher. Older teens may also gain employment as library pages.
Need something to do? Check out the Library's Online Book Club offered through Chapter-A-Day, which sends daily emails of selections from a variety of books.
