Interlibrary Loans


If the Allegheny County Library Association doesn't own the item you want, you can request it from a library outside of the county. Click here to place an interlibrary loan request. Or, click here to suggest a purchase.


Faxing, Scanning, & Copying


Fax & scanning services are available on the adult floor of the library with the assistance of library staff. There is a fee of $1 per job. Scans will be sent to your email address. The library may limit the size of fax jobs and the times of day when faxes may be sent. International fax service is not available.


Printing

Printers on both floors of the library will print in black & white (15 cents a page) or color (50 cents a page).


To print an email or an email attachment, forward the message to usct-print-bw@printspots.com for black & white, or to usct-print-color@printspots.com for color.

You can also send print jobs with the free PrinterOn app, available in your device's app store. Please see the Mobile Printing Brochure for more information.


Study Rooms

Study rooms are available on the adult floor of the library on a first come basis. Each room seats four comfortably and receives a WIFI signal.


3D Printing

A 3D printer is located on the adult floor. Print jobs are scheduled during library hours. Please see the 3D brochure for more information.


USC Connect

If you're unable to drive to the library, let us bring the library to you! USC Connect offers free delivery of library materials to your home. Print this application and return it to the library, or call 412-835-5540 x283 and ask for Walker Evans.


Test Proctoring

Proctoring services are available for $15/test. Please see our Test Proctoring Policy for more information.

Meet with a librarian one-on-one to learn about your new device, MS Word and Excel, how to set up email, or how to use the internet. Click here to make an appointment.

  • A 22" Merlin Enhanced Vision Magnifier is available. This desktop model enables people with low vision to read and write at various levels of magnification, in color or black and white.
