Summer Reading Together
Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers and Kindergarteners
Reading Together is designed for children from birth through the completion of kindergarten.
Children begin learning pre-reading skills at birth.
Reading Together is designed to help young children acquire pre-reading skills with fun and educational parent-directed activities.
When you register you'll receive your activity guide complete with information about ready to read skills, ready to read activities, an activity log, and instructions for participating in the program. Participants will receive fun rewards for completing weekly activities.
Registration begins on Monday June 6.
Reading Together begins on Monday June 20 and runs through Friday, August 5.

Kindergarten Here I Come!
It's an exciting time in your child's life. At the end of the summer your child will be going into kindergarten! Our goal for Kindergarten Here I Come is to help your child be ready for that first day of school. This six week program will focus on kindergarten readiness skills especially in the area of pre-reading. We'll be sharing books, singing songs, learning rhymes and playing games with the alphabet, letter sounds and words. Join us for this fun, fast-paced forty-five minute program.

I'm Going To First Grade!
Getting ready to read can be fun! All kids who have completed kindergarten are invited to participate in this forty-five minute program. We'll be planning activities, games, and stories designed to reinforce skills learned in kindergarten.

I Love To Read!
Here's an opportunity for kids who have completed first and second grades to practice their reading skills with student volunteers. Once again,this year: we will be featuring our canine volunteers Molly and Piper! Each week Norman and Rona Pookman, volunteers for Therapy Dogs International, will be bringing their dogs who love to hear stories read by boys and girls.

Reading Star Readers' Theater
Be a reading star at this program! Our five week readers' theater program will focus on retaining reading skills such as sequencing, fluency and comprehension over the summer months. This program will hone its participant's read-aloud skills in a fun and creative way by giving participants the opportunity to learn all about different stories and perform them!
