Summer Reading is designed for children who have completed first through fourth grades.
Kids who read succeed! The summer reading program is a fun way to encourage your child to spend time reading! Participating in summer reading can play an important role in creating fluent, lifelong readers.
Participants will receive their own personal reading log to record the titles of the books they have read. For each book read, children will receive one ticket for a weekly drawing of prizes. The more you read, the greater your chance of winning.
Registration begins on Monday June 6.
Reporting begins on Monday June 20 and runs through Thursday, August 4.

Be creative at the Library in this art program for kids. Using various materials you can design planets, stars, constellations, or even an alien town.

Constellation Exploration
Participants in this class will learn all about our night sky. Constellations, stars, planets, and their meanings will all be discussed. Enjoy some activities with a parent at the end. This program will be presented by the staff of The Outdoor Classroom.

Moonstruck Hikes at The Outdoor Classroom
Join The Outdoor Classroom as they explore nature at night. These one hour hikes will cover a different topic each month while following the many beautiful trails around the park. These hikes are perfect for all ages and great for family activities that will give everyone a chance to connect with the nature found right here in our own backyard.

Astro Blast!
We'll wrap up Summer Reading with a fun afternoon at the library. Stop in and report for the last time and stay and play. Plan to join us and celebrate the end of Summer Reading.
