Storytimes Summer 2011

  • All children's programs are free of charge.
  • Registration for all programs must be done in person at the Library.
  • To ensure quality programs, limiting groups by size and age is often necessary.
  • During classes, all caregivers are required to stay within the Library building.

Family Storytime

If you have kids between 2 and 6 years of age, you're invited to spend a fun evening sharing stories, songs and games. Active participation by kids and parents is strongly encouraged!

Who:Children ages 2 - 6 and parents, grandparents, or caregivers
Dates:May 12, June 2, July 14, August 18
When:Thursdays at 7:00 p.m
Where:Children's Story Room

Registration for the May 12 Storytime begins Monday May 2
Registration for the June 2 Storytime begins Monday May 23
Registration for the July 14 Storytime begins Tuesday, July 5
Registration for the August 18 Storytime begins Monday, August 8

Babies and Toddlers

This program combines action rhymes, songs, interactive play, and books in a fast paced program designed to hold the attention of our youngest participants. It concludes with a playtime. Active parental participation is encouraged.

Who:Children ages 4 to 24 months and parent, grandparent, or caregiver
Dates:June 27 through August 1
(NO CLASS ON MONDAY, JULY 4)
When:Mondays at 9:30, 10:30 or 11:30 a.m.
Where:Children's Story Room

Registration begins Monday June 6.

Twos and Threes

Here's our special class just for your two or three year old. This half-hour class features books and stories, action rhymes and songs, puppets and play. It concludes with a playtime. Active parental participation is encouraged.

Who:Children ages 2 to 3 ½ years old and parent, grandparent, or caregiver
Dates:June 28/29 through August 2/3
When:Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 10:00 or 11:00 a.m.
Where:Children's Story Room

Registration begins Monday June 6.

Pre-school Storytime

This fun and educational half-hour class features stories, songs, finger plays, and book-related activities. Children attend storytime on their own. Caregivers are asked to assist their child with an activity at the end of the program.

Who:Pre-Schoolers ages 3½, 4, and 5 years old who are ready to spend a half-hour on their own
Dates:June 30/July 1 through August 4/5
 Thursdays at 10:00 or 11:00 a.m.
WhenFridays at 2:00 p.m.
Where:Children's Story Room

Registration begins Monday June 6.
