Our Special Programs will resume in the Fall.
In the meantime, we have Summer Programming for all ages!
- All children's programs are free of charge.
- Registration for all programs must be done in person at the Library.
- To ensure quality programs, limiting groups to size and age is often necessary.
Make signs, bring pom-poms, and get ready to cheer your friends and family as they test their memory in the ultimate book showdown.

Pennsylvania One Book, Every Young Child
Up, Down, and Around Day
Spring into the library to take part in our early literacy program featuring Katherine Ayres' book for young children Up, Down and Around. From seeds dropped into soil to corn bursting from its stalks, everything in the garden is on the move. Join in this rollicking good time celebration of gardening in our come and go program. We will feature discovery tables, early learning games, crafts, and, of course, a storytime. One copy of the book will be given to each family who attends this program.
This program is part of a statewide initiative, "Pennsylvania One Book, Every Young Child." Its goal is to communicate to adults the importance of the development of early literacy skills. These are skills all children need to successfully learn to read.
