Collection

Our collection consists of over 30,000 books including:

Toddler Books - board books for the very young
Picture Books
Easy Reader Books - for children beginning to read
Readers - for first and second graders
Easy Nonfiction - simplified factual books
Juvenile Fiction - easy chapter books and advanced works of fiction
Nonfiction - circulating and reference
Young Adult Collection - for children in the upper grades
Adult Books - on parenting and other subjects of interest to parents and teachers
Magazines - for all age and interest groups

The collection also contains these non-print items:

Music on CD
Audio Books, including read-a-loud stories, family listening, Playaway Audio and teen selections
Movies for both older and younger children
Puppets
Puzzles

Computers

The library has 8 computers on the children's floor with Internet access and Microsoft Office 2007, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

Black and white and color printers are available to the public at 15 cents per page.

Personal documents must be saved on a USB (flash) device.

Wireless access is also available for laptops with a wireless card.

Time-management software limits use to one half hour if others are waiting.

The Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) is a federal law that requires all computers in a public library to be filtered.

All Library computers are filtered.

Reader's Advisory

Library Staff is available to recommend books by age, reading level, and subject. We also have book lists to help you locate just the right book.
