Collection

Our collection consists of over 30,000 books including:

• Toddler Books - board books for the very young
• Picture Books
• Easy Reader Books - for children beginning to read
• Readers - for first and second graders
• Easy Nonfiction - simplified factual books
• Juvenile Fiction - easy chapter books and advanced works of fiction
• Nonfiction - circulating and reference 
• Young Adult Collection - for children in the upper grades 
• Adult Books - on parenting and other subjects of interest to parents and teachers 
• Magazines - for all age and interest groups

The collection also contains these non-print items:

• Cassettes and CD's including music, read-a-loud stories, and books on tape
• Videos for both older and younger children
• Puppets
• Puzzles

Computers

We have a variety of computer services available for children:

• Three IBM compatible computers loaded with a variety of educational children's programs and games
• Two EIN (Electronic Information Network) stations which provide Internet access, online databases, and the County Catalog in addition to Word, Power Point, Publisher and Excel

Reference Services

A librarian is always available to help you find books and information. Phone Reference is also available (835-5540). Please Ask! We are here to help.

Reader's Advisory

Librarians are available to recommend books by age, reading level, and subject. We also have book lists to help you locate just the right book.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have volunteer projects for middle school students at different times throughout the year.
