Community Day

Looking for a day of family fun?  Come join us at the Community Day celebration. 

This annual event is a cooperative effort of the Upper St. Clair School District, Upper St. Clair Township, students, parent volunteers, community groups and professional organizations. The theme this year is Pink Panthers. 

9 a.m. - Color Run/Walk for Fun
The 3.1-mile race will be staged at Upper St. Clair High School, starting and finishing at Panther Stadium. It's open to all ages, so bring the whole family (but no pets, please). Walkers are welcome. No registration will be accepted after 8:15 a.m. on race day.

9:15 a.m. - Hottest Dog Contest 
The annual event will take place on the Founders Field stage set-up. Prizes will be awarded to the top three dogs in each category. All dogs will receive a participation award. Pre-registration is required.

10:30 a.m. - Kickoff Ceremony & Salute to Armed Forces Day
This will take place at the USC Veterans Park. 

11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Food and game booths open

12 p.m. - Scavenger Hunt (New!)
The Upper St. Clair High School Student Council will host a continual scavenger hunt. Kids can hunt for "hidden gems" that will be scattered around. Inside each gem, a note will tell the finder to bring the gem and the paper to the Student Council Information Station to claim his/her prize. 

11:30 a.m. - Parade
View the parade along McLaughlin Run Road. 

12 - 4 p.m. - Gilfillan Farm Open House
The property will be open for wagon rides, farm animal petting zoo, masonry demonstration and more! House tours will be given from 12 - 3 p.m.

12 - 4 p.m. - Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department Open House
Educational fun for the whole family. Check out the trucks and equipment. Enjoy some popcorn. Bounce house for kids. 

12:15 p.m. - USC Bake-Off Awards
Entries will be judged by appearance, not taste, on Friday, May 18. Winners will be announced at the McLaughlin Run Activity Center (MAC) at 12:15 p.m. on May 19. 

3 p.m. - Duck Race
The Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair holds an annual rubber duckie race in the McLaughlin Run Creek. 

3:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Community Day After Party (New!)
The Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair is hosting an after party by the front field at Upper St. Clair High School. There will be food trucks and a live band.
