E-cycling For Upper St. Clair Residents

The Township, in conjunction with JVS Environmental, will be holding an "E-cycling" event on Saturday, September 20, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A nominal fee of $4 per computer monitor and $1/inch of television screen size is required to offset lead disposal costs.

All other electronic equipment is accepted at no charge.

Payment is accepted in cash or personal check only.

Certified Data/Hard Drive Destruction is available and a certificate of destruction will be provided following these services. A fee of $12 per hard drive is charged for certified data destruction.

When:	Saturday September 20, 2008
	From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
What:	Unwanted computers, keyboards, TVs, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, cell phones, telephones, dishwashers, ovens, gas grills, water heaters, clothes washers & dryers, stereos, radios, speakers, CD players, VCRs, automobile batteries, etc. Most of these items contain heavy metals and other hazardous waste and should not be left for curbside pickup. Help keep them out of our landfills.
Unacceptable Items:	Appliances containing freon, any hazardous chemicals or biohazardous waste, vacuum cleaners
Where:	USC Public Works Parking Lot (Truxton Drive at McLaughlin Run Road)

Advanced registration is requested for bulk drop-offs (more than 30 items) by Friday September 12, 2008. Contact Karen at karen@twpusc.org, or by phone at 412.831.9000 Ext. 210.

All items accepted will be properly recycled according to US EPA and PA DEP guidelines.
