                                       OFFICIAL BID NOTICE

 

                           TOWNSHIP OF UPPER ST. CLAIR 

Sealed Bids will be received by the Township of Upper St. Clair, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania until 9:00 AM, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 for the following:

                  GREEN-LIGHT-GO TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADES

                                        At the following intersections:

  • McLaughlin Run Road / McMurray Road (SR 3004) and Panther Pass
  • McMurray Road (SR 3004) and Johnston Road

BIDS must be sealed and addressed to Matthew R. Serakowski, Township Manager, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241, and must indicate on the outside of the envelope “Upper St. Clair Green-Light-Go Traffic Signal Upgrades”.BIDS must be received at the Township Office prior to the time noted.Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid, made payable to the Township of Upper St. Clair.All Bids must be submitted on a lump sum basis.

Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and submit proof thereof with their Bid.

Copies of bidding documents may be obtained at the office of Trans Associates Engineering Consultants, Inc., Suite 400, 4955 Steubenville Pike, Pittsburgh, PA15205, upon a non-refundable payment of $25.00 for each set of plans and specifications.

Pennsylvania prevailing minimum wage rates will apply.

The Township of Upper St. Clair reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any technicality or informality therein.

Bid may be held by the Township of Upper St. Clair for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the Contract.

                           JANITORIAL AND CLEANING SERVICES

For the Municipal Building, Public Works Building, Recreation Center, Tennis AdministrationBuilding, all located on McLaughlin Run Road, Main Fire Station on Washington Road, Community & Recreation Center, and the Morton Road Fire Substation on Morton Road.

BIDS must be sealed and addressed to Matthew R. Serakowski, Township Manager, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241, and must indicate on the outside of the envelope the type of BID being submitted.BIDS must be received at the Township Office prior to the time noted.Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the Township of Upper St. Clair.

In accordance with Chapter 25 of the Township Code, all Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Township.Please submit requested information NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM, Wednesday, May 30, 2018.Mandatory pre-bid meetings / walk-throughs, will be conducted from June 4 through June 8, 2018 by appointment only, please call 412.831.9000, ext. 266 to schedule an appointment.

Sealed and separate bids will be received by the Township of Upper St. Clair, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania until 9:00 a.m. (EST), Tuesday, June 19, 2018:

   THE UPPER ST. CLAIR MCLAUGHLIN RUN ACTIVITIES CENTER                                                               (MAC)

The Township of Upper St. Clair, PA will receive Contractor Qualifications Statements for review and consideration on inclusion on Bid List for the USC McLaughlin Run Activities Center (MAC) renovations, located in the Township of Upper St. Clair at 1736 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania 15241.

BIDS must be sealed and addressed to Matthew R. Serakowski, Township Manager, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241, and must indicate on the outside of the envelope the USC- MAC Renovations.BIDS must be received at the Township office prior to the time noted.

In accordance with Chapter 25 of the Code of the Township, all Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Township. Contractor Qualification Statements must be submitted NO LATER THAN 4:00 p.m. (EST), Tuesday, May 29, 2018 to the Administration Office of the Township of Upper St. Clair, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241.

Qualification Statements will be reviewed by the Owner and Architect. Upon satisfaction of each Contractor’s Qualifications by the Owner and Architect, Bidder will be notified and bidding documents will be made available to each Qualified Contractor for bidding purposes. Project bids shall be due by 9:00 a.m. (EST), Tuesday, June 19, 2018.

Only Contractors that have provided acceptable Qualification Statements (as determined by the Owner) by the date indicated will receive bidding documents or be eligible to bid the project. Owner reserves the right to waive all irregularities.

A Single-Prime project delivery method will be utilized.

Bids will be required on a stipulated su basis for the following Prime Contract:

Contract-1:USC MAC Renovations: (Includes; General Construction work, Plumbing work, HVAC work & Electrical work, exterior & interior renovation work as indicated within the construction documents.)

*A Bid Bond in the Amount of 10% of the proposed contract value shall be included within the Proposal Package.

*A Performance, Labor and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the proposed contract value will be required for the successful bidder. A Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Determination will be in effect and bound within the Project Manual supplied to qualified bidders.
