Upper St. Clair Commissioners have appointed five local citizens to a Whitetail Deer Ad Hoc Advisory Committee. The Committee is charged with investigating deer resistant gardening techniques, possible improvements in highway safety, human health concerns, and herd management alternatives.
A community forum is planned for later in the spring where the committee hopes to have a panel of professionals in each of these areas available to respond to citizens' concerns. Prior to that meeting, the committee is working toward securing the services of such a panel and assembling a preview of the most commonly repeated concerns and questions.
