USC Parks Remain Open and Officials Urge Caution

The Township of Upper St. Clair parks and trails are currently open, and being outdoors is a great way for the community to get much-needed fresh air and exercise.

As always, the safety of Upper St. Clair park visitors is a top priority. Guests who are sick are asked to refrain from visiting parks. Guests are also encouraged to follow social distancing guidelines during all visits by keeping a distance of six feet or more between guests.

Visitors should keep in mind they are using a public facility. Each surface is only as clean as the last person who touched it. Proper hand washing and/or use of hand sanitizer are advised before and afterward.

Upper St. Clair administrators will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and share updates with residents on the Upper St. Clair website
www.twpusc.org and on Upper St. Clair social media accounts.

Allegheny County Health Department Recommendations
Visitors should take steps to protect their health by following Allegheny County Health Department guidelines:

-Wash your hands frequently with water and soap for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with 60%-95% alcohol.
-Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
-Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. If there is no tissue available, cough or sneeze into your shoulder or sleeve.
-Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects.
-Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
-Avoid shaking hands.
