USC Department of Recreation Releases Reopening Plans

Following the Commonwealth's announcement to move Allegheny County to the green phase, Upper St. Clair's Department of Recreation & Leisure Services has determined a way to safely reopen the Community & Recreation Center and provide some summer programming. We appreciate your continued understanding and cooperation as we navigate through the new guidelines and procedures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Community & Recreation Center Reopening
-Reopening by July 1, 2020
-Hours of operation will be Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday 6 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday 12 p.m.-5p.m.; Outdoor pool 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily
-Outdoor pool will be open for leisure usage during regular hours. In following the Governor Wolf’s order, no more than 250 people total will be allowed in the outdoor facility at a time.
-The indoor aquatics facility will be open only for lap swimming and exercise. Lap swimming will be by reservation (more information on reservations to come).
-Fitness equipment has been moved to accommodate social distancing.
-Group exercise will be reservation based to allow for social distancing (more information on reservations to come).

Who Can Use the Community & Recreation Center?
-The facility will be open for all members.
-Members cannot bring guests.*
-Only residents of Upper St. Clair can purchase daily admissions Monday-Friday.* No daily admissions will be for sale on the weekends. A proof of residency is required for daily admission purchases (children and adults).
-All children ages 14 and under using the indoor or outdoor facility must be accompanied by his/her parent/guardian at all times.
-Non-residents can only enter with a membership.
-Current members have the option to freeze their memberships for two months at a time if they are uncertain.
-Non-members who wish to purchase memberships will be able to do so.

*All previously purchased and complimentary passes will not be accepted at this time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some Community Programs to Resume
-Camp St. Clair, for children entering 1st-7th grades in the 2020-21 school year, will begin June 22, 2020.
-A “Meet the Counselor” week for Camp St. Clair will be held the week of June 15, 2020.
-Camp St. Clair will take place at Boyce Mayview Park.
-Panthers Paws is canceled for summer 2020.
-Additional summer programs will begin in July. Go to www.twpusc.org/crc/registration to register.

Organized Sports
-The Upper St. Clair Athletic Association is permitted to begin on June 6, 2020 or shortly after.
-The Upper St. Clair Tennis Development Program will begin summer clinics on June 15, 2020.

Upper St. Clair Playgrounds
-Upper St. Clair playgrounds are permitted for use starting June 6, 2020.

Upper St. Clair 3 Hole Golf Course
-The course is open for free play.
