Work on Painters Run Road to Begin March 9

Public Works - Monday, February 24, 2020

From Allegheny County: Work on Painters Run Road in Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon and Scott Township will begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020. It is expected to end in October 2020.

The project involves three parts:

1. Crews will make structural repairs to Painters Run Bridge No. 9, which is located on the 1800 block of Painters Run Road in Scott Township. That work will begin at 7 a.m. on March 9 and won’t initially require traffic restrictions. Starting in July, however, there will be a full closure of the road at the bridge.

2. Crews will make structural repairs to Painters Run Bridge No. 3, which is located about 350 feet east of the intersection of Painters Run Road and McMillan Road in Upper St. Clair. That work will begin after the repairs to Painters Run Bridge No. 9 are completed and will likely require traffic restrictions.

2. Crews will perform guide rail installation, drainage work, base repair, as well as milling and paving on Painters Run Road between Bower Hill Road and Cedar Boulevard in Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon and Scott Township. That work will begin in April and will require short stoppages in work zones with flaggers controlling traffic.

The project will be done by Northeast Paving, a division of Eurovia Atlantic Coast, LLC, of Pittsburgh.
